This year, we celebrate the eigth year of the RoD Awards. We have less
categories this year (35, down from 50'odd from last year), with a lot of
the categories that only obtained one or two unique votes being axed.
The votes will be collected by myself via MUDmail, by the 31st of May.
To vote, please set out your MUDmails in the following fashion:

And so forth. Up to three nominations per category will be accepted, and
only one set of votes per player. You do not have to vote in every

Good day my friends,
It is I, Mordikay the White, again. I hope the day finds you as rested as
myself and that it will continue to be a most joyful one. Before I start
with the summarization of the current events, I would like to take the time
to talk about something very dear to my heart.
This month has proven to be most pleasant for an old owl such as myself as a
new group of our kin has joined our ranks. To find such dependable companions
for our prospective masters doesn't come as an easy task but if we do manage,
the outcome is absolutely marvelous. We, the elder owls, are delighted to
announce our newest acolytes into our ranks. I proudly give you:
Garundel, Amrisash, Callosian, Windurm and Gorsith
New masters have already been assigned and they will join them within the next
few weeks. I hope this didn't come as a bore to you but I am so extremely proud
that I had to mention my fellow friends.
I shall move right along to bring you the news as they have been gathered
around the Elf Nation.

We have been asked to reduce our numbers of scouting trips as the ongoing
battle preparations move towards its crescendo. The amount of reports are
therefore rather sparse but nevertheless important.
The nation of the Rukhas or in the common tongue Half-Orcs, have been spotted
sailing the North Sea towards the Isle of Irrybis. We are not sure as to how
long their journey will take them but the Isle has been bustling to get ready
for any kind of assault. The troups are busy trying to coordinate their
offenses and defenses. There is no doubt in my old mind that this battle
could potentially be the worst these realms have yet to witness. I pray to
the gods that it won't come that far and if it does, that those who parish
will find their peace in the after life.
Lady Kadgeon of the Hobbits has offered refuge and shelters for those Elves who
wish to leave the Island. We have not seen any Elves taking up the offer but
that could change any day, depending on how quickly the situation is changing.
I will leave at this for today as I myself have to get my belongings together
and prepare to leave the Island.

that are members of my Nation please read the HT noteboard.

For the many of you who probably do not know what has happened I am mourning
the loss of my only son Dammien. He was murdered by the II'kahn, who now try
to call themselves something else.
No matter what they decide to call themselves I call them murderers, and a
disgrace. I demand justice be done for this crime and the others they have
committed!
I can no longer stand for this and let them get away with it! Where are the
other Nations? Do they not have a say in this? Do they hide in their homes
thinking they will be spared?
What of the gnomes? The dwarves? Humans? Those of us who stand against them
now are few, but with the others who populate the Realms we can be many!
I do not know about the rest of you but my people and I will stand, we will
try to protect our homes and families. What of the rest of you?

Attention, glorious half-orcs of Krozloy!
Much change has occurred since the last piece of news was written for the
betterment of our people!
First of all, we are no longer the Il'Khan. This title was hardly fitting
for our mighty race, as it meant 'half-ogre' in the elven script. We are
now known by our proper name, the Rukhas'Dul, which means 'orc' in our own
tongue.
Secondly, Rukhas hero Kragash Bonehewer has ordered that a statue be erected
for his people in our hometown, Mount Krozloy. It bears the names of all
leaders of our glorious nation from the beginning to present day. All are
expected to pay respects to this statue, which can be found in the center of
Krozloy.
Lastly, High Chief Bonehewer wishes to express his assurances of the
Rukhas'Dul victory in our current conquest of the Realms. The first phase is
almost in position.
All grunts presently in training at the barracks are expected to report to
the southern gate upon completion of their exercises. Our glorious leader
is prepered to execute phase two of the plan.

Dateline Opallinoc - News Blackout
Due to the current hostile actions and reactions by various races involved,
heavy censorship of news from the Bureau is taking place. Only items approved
by the Sept Council are being released.
Dateline Southern Mountain Range - Monkey Business
Reports from Merchants and travellers through the Southern Mountain Range
tell tales of monkey sightings. Now why monkeys are roaming through the cold
harsh regions, rather then the warmer areas of the mire is something for the
science types to explain. Should the reports prove to be tru and verifiable,
various rewards will be given to those submitting proof.
Monkeys have been said to be associated with various gem types. Some of these
are Jade, Ruby, Quartz and Amythyst, yes with two Y's. Good luck to explorers
Dateline Edo - Dragon bites hand that feeds it
The legendary Yamata-no-orochi, the protector of Edo and servant of the Daimyo
has turned upon Edo. The Daimyo's daughter is being held hostage by the Dragon.
Master Yorito is rumored to be able to make a sword that can release the
Princess from her chains. Other villagers are said to have opinions on the
Dragon's reasons for it actions.

We will continue with coverage of Conflict of the Northern Plain
The Pixie Fleet has set sail and is sailing towards the Azure Sea in order
to delay the Half-Orc ship sailing towards the Blood Sea. Speaking to
Air Vice Marshall Eashavir, The ship is stocked with a new type of experimental
weapon that will "Give the Orc's a rough trip"
Wyvern attacks continue near Dunhill. Damage has been minimal, and the
Dragon Chasers have managed to kill one. We are sad to report that Flying
Officer Trilara "Nightrider" Skysilver was killed by a Wyvern Sting
Pixie Citizens are concerned about this conflict on this years sowing of
crops. Pixies are urged to continue their work, despite the fact that some of
their workers are fighting in the war and the dangers around them.
