Honour Scale

News #615 posted by Kinux on 07/05/06.

Honour now checks whether a victim is more than 10 honour points above the person affecting the killing blow and adjusts the honour granted for a kill.

eg. When a 22 honour person kills a 10 honour person, no honour is gained or lost, but should a 10 honour person kill a 22 honour person the 10 honour person would gain 10% of the honour from his or her victim (getting 2 honour instead of 1). Here's another example: If a 20 honour person kills a 50 honour person, they would get 3 honour from the kill. If the 50 kills the 20, there would be no honour granted.

The hope with this code change is that it gives those starting out a more appropriate level of honour for killing someone of a higher honour 'level'.

This code change has been in affect for a while now, undocumented. Many thanks to Gonnil for the idea and Tricops for the code.
